World-renowned California golf resort gets a complete redesign from local Halifax, Nova Scotia interactive marketing agency.

Pebble Beach Resorts, a world-renowned golf resort in Pebble Beach, Calif., recognized a need to conceptualize, design and create a user-friendly site that would raise online capabilities to the quality of service the brand was known for. After much work, VERB converted the existing Web site into a visually compelling site, creating an innovative and high-quality online experience that would exceed early expectations after just five weeks following launch.
Upon receiving the Pebble Beach Resorts account, VERB launched into an immediate in-depth exploration of its new client, which included competitive reviews, search marketing research and behavioural assessment of existing Web site through analytics. A multi-disciplinary team of internet strategists, creative designers and Web developers worked closely on the project, combining their varied knowledge to push the boundaries of Web design to create the right online experience for the target market. Mixing existing, traditional content and new, groundbreaking online features, the new PebbleBeach.com would improve the site’s functionality and be the hub of all its interactive marketing initiatives.
Design elements were focused on ease of navigation and improving online capabilities. Drop-down menus were incorporated to enable users to find the information about the resort experience and destination quickly and easily. Visually compelling images were integrated to provide a thorough view of Pebble Beach Resorts and the surrounding area. An online planning tool was also developed, allowing users to plan an upcoming trip to Pebble Beach Resorts, check availability of select golf courses and accommodations, and make an online reservation request. To assist in the site’s functionality and interactivity, an interactive map, hole-by-hole course tours, online shopping and free e-cards were also integrated within the site’s design and development.
Initial recommendations were tailored to account for market viability and technological capabilities within Pebble Beach Resorts. This resulted in a Web site that stretched Pebble Beach Resorts in new directions while maintaining the integrity of the brand. In just five weeks, the new online presence has been well embraced by the online market.
