October 2009 marked the closing of our fifth year in business with VERB and I swear it feels like it was just a year ago that we made the decision to launch this company. We thought it was important to finally give a little TLC to our Web site, which we truthfully haven’t really looked at for about two and a half years. What can we say? We’ve been really busy working with really great clients, thus our own site was never a priority. The truth of the matter is that our old site was built in four days under one of those ‘we just started a business and we need something’ scenarios – it never really reflected what we were all about. Now we are just glad that we don’t have to keep answering those “why do you have sheep on your homepage?” questions.
Over the last five plus years Ed and I have had the pleasure to work with a plethora of clients in the travel and hospitality industry. The motivation for starting VERB was to focus on working on projects that we would enjoy, while also continuing to build upon relationships we’ve both forged over our thirteen years in the interactive marketing industry. It was that simple and thankfully we’ve been working at full throttle since day one of opening our doors.
As I was reviewing copy for the new site it really hit me hard how many great projects we’ve had the opportunity to work on. More importantly, I smiled thinking about the great relationships and, honestly, friendships that I have developed with clients across the US, Canada and the Caribbean. For this I am eternally grateful, as clients saw our capabilities and trusted us since day one to deliver strong online marketing solutions to help them take their business to the next level.
To our longtime friends and clients in Florida, New Jersey, Wyoming, California, Illinois, Connecticut, South Carolina, New York, Washington and throughout the Caribbean – we are very thankful for the opportunity to showcase your destinations, resorts and travel services to the world. The same being said for our colleagues at home in Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and throughout Ontario. Without great clients and great relationships I would not enjoy what I do, and VERB would not be where we are today.
To the ever growing team at VERB and all of our partners, without the countless hours of work, dedication and understanding (yes, I can be a bit demanding and have been known to have high expectations of everything) we would not be where we are today. Thank you for putting up with the crazy times, the tight deadlines and for always over delivering on everything that you do.
2010 promises more big news from the VERB camp that we are very excited about. Several seeds were planted in 2009 that are about to sprout so we look forward to sharing these new ventures with you. Until then, we plan to continue to deliver award winning solutions to our clients, keeping our relationships and having fun. We hope you enjoy the first draft of our new Web site (our first Web site really…) and enjoy learning more about what we’ve been up to.
Cheers,
Andy MacLellan
